Wellsville Elementary students have been hearing and reading Traditional Literature stories during their Library Skills class time. Traditional Literature is a book genre that began as stories passed down through oral storytelling and from generation to generation. This genre includes fairy tales, fables, myths, legends, tall tales, folklore, and folktales. To create a fun enviroment which emphasizes our current unit of Traditional Literature students were invited to participate in a Fairy Forest Campout. Each student who chose to participate was given the challenge of using their imagination to create a small fairy house using recyable materials or nature or household items. We are thrilled to see our students wide range of creativity on display in our library and thought we would share our results with you.
