This course will include a review of basic mechanics and an introduction to more complex grammatical construction. In composition, students will learn to develop various types of sentences, paragraphs and themes. Particular emphasis will be placed on polishing and improving existing skills.
Students will also work on expanding personal vocabulary.
The literature program will examine and analyze American literature from the colonial period to the the present. A variety of speech experiences including a researched persuasive speech and career presentation will be part of the curriculum.
Students will also focus on who they are and who they want to become.
