I received my Bachelor’s degree from Ottawa University in Psychology in 2011. After that, I decided to continue pursuing an education relating to mental health and I received a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from KU in 2013. I am a life long learner and wanted to continue my educuation relating to counseling, so I went back to school and received my Master’s in School Counseling from Fort Hays State University in 2017.
This is my first year at Wellsville, and I couldn’t be more excited to be here! I have spent the past 4 years at Marais des Cygnes Valley High School as the 6-12 counselor. I am very eager to branch out and focus on career counseling for the high school students and to work with the younger students in Guidance.
I am married to my husband, Evan, who is a maintenance technician for East Kansas Agri-Energy in Garnett, KS. We are blessed to have one daughter, Addyson. She is going into the 5th grade and keeps our lives busy with her activities. She particularly loves sports, 4H, and cooking. We also have two fantastic dogs named Severus and Albus that keep our lives full of dog hair and a lot of love.
In my spare time I love to read, eat, and travel. Our family also enjoys sports, in particular, we have season tickets to KU football and we love spending our fall Saturdays in Lawrence, cheering on the Jayhawks.
